RCN Wales contributes to guidance for nursing and midwifery students joining the frontline in the battle against COVID-19

3 Apr 2020

A new student support guidance document has been released which focuses on how nursing and midwifery students can support the health and care system during the COVID-19 emergency

The Royal College of Nursing Wales, along with other health and care organisations, has worked with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for Wales and Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) to produce guidance and information for nursing and midwifery students who are undertaking their course in Wales.

The guidance document can be viewed here

The guide includes information for students at the various stages of their undergraduate programme, such as how the situation affects their education and what financial impact there may be. The guide also includes information regarding student health and wellbeing at this time, answers to FAQs and links to further information, advice or support.

RCN Wales members should use the student support guide in conjunction with advice and guidance from their individual universities and further information from the RCN.
