The Chief Nursing Officer’s Award which recognises leadership for safety, quality and experience, is open to all registered nurses or midwives working in Northern Ireland.
Candidates must demonstrate they have shown strong leadership and integrated the principles of quality, safety and patient experience into theirwork and the work of their team or service.
Nominees for the Chief Nursing Officer’s Award must currently be a registered nurse or midwife working in Northern Ireland. Please check that the person you wish to nominate is content for you to nominate them.Nominations must be made by someone who is familiar with the work of the nominee
How to apply
Fill out the application form and complete a 500 word summary showing evidence of:
• Ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care, keeping patients at the heart of their service
• inspiring a shared vision, engaging their team/ colleagues in the process
• redesigning and delivering the service, demonstrating how they have looked to the future of their service and engaged their team to encourage creativity, problem solving, collaborative thinking and development of new ways of working
• promoting a high-performance culture, demonstrating how they have facilitated the contribution of colleagues.
