The Public Health Award, sponsored by the Public Health Agency and Health and Social Care Board, is open to all registered nurses, midwives and health care assistants working in all health care sectors in Northern Ireland. Candidates will be required to demonstrate how their project or work contributed to improving or raising awareness of public health in Northern Ireland.
Nominations must be made by someone who is familiar with the work of the nominee.
How to apply
Fill out the application form and complete a 500 word summary showing evidence of how the project or work has:
- impacted on health or social wellbeing, e.g. early interventions to improve public health; building new alliances or taking positive action to ensure that marginalised groups are fully involved in addressing the social determinants of ill health
- demonstrated strong partnerships with individuals, communities and other stakeholders
- shown effective use of evidence or research to inform decisions and where possible, influence changes in services or policy.
