As a midwife, you'll work at the heart of the community, as the primary coordinator of care for all pregnant, labouring and postnatal women. You will provide support, guidance and care for mother, baby and family. Midwives, student midwives and maternity support workers can become members of the RCN. Membership gives you support in the workplace and access to online resources and the RCN Library and Archives Services which can help with your continuing professional development. You can also join the Midwifery forum, allowing you to connect with other members to help shape and influence policy and practice. See how the RCN supports midwives in this leaflet.
Some of our publications are also available in hard copy, but this may entail a small charge. For more information and to order a hard copy please call 0345 772 6100 and select option five.
