Making time for nursing teams to defuse after challenging or difficult situations can support their psychological wellbeing and enhance their self care and management. It can also help to sustain a workforce and reinforce teamwork while providing a perfect opportunity to share success and positive experiences. This leaflet, developed by the RCN Nursing in Justice and Forensic Health Care Forum, aims to provide tips and activities to help nurses facilitate and benefit from defusing sessions.

This leaflet has been sponsored by Liverpool Victoria.
