Join our regional network
The RCN is the only union in the UK that specialises in supporting those who work in nursing. We ensure that your voice is heard, your interests as a health care assistant are represented, you can connect with your colleagues and support is available if and when you need it.
In the West Midlands, as well as providing you with legal and workplace advice and representation and a wealth of resources and opportunities to develop your knowledge, skills and practice, we have established a network of health care assistants to ensure we understand the issues that matter to you and to enable you to share experiences and ideas with other HCAs.
If you’re an HCA and a member of the RCN in the West Midlands, we would be delighted to welcome you to our network. The group meets three times a year and each meeting has two main objectives:
In return we will ask you to encourage HCAs in your workplace to consider joining the RCN so there is an even stronger voice for HCAs in this region.
- to offer you a professional development session, and
- to hear about the issues that you and your fellow HCAs face at work so these can be represented at the RCN's national Health Practitioner Committee by Phil White, an HCA who is your West Midlands representative on this forum.
