Sustainability at Congress
We work with a number of companies to bring you Congress and ensure that the event runs smoothly and sustainably.
Our venue LEX recognises how vital sustainability is in the events industry and is working towards the Liverpool-wide goal of achieving Carbon Zero status by 2030. Measures across the site include a wildflower site that hosts a community of bees.

How you can help

- consider car sharing.
Reduce waste:
- bring reusable bottles and avoid single-use plastics
- use recycling facilities provided
- opt for digital materials instead of printed copies
- let us know if you can’t attend: go to your booking in MyCongress and follow the instructions under ‘manage my booking’. This will help us reduce paper and catering waste.
Use resources responsibly:
- only take what you need
- minimise waste from giveaways and materials.
Working together
Sustainability is a shared responsibility. Small actions from all attendees help reduce the overall impact and support a more sustainable events industry.
