19 May 2026, 08:00 - 08:45
This session will introduce and promote the Royal College of Nursing’s new online learning resource, Fundamentals of Nursing Care at End of Life, due to be launched in the months preceding Congress. The purpose of the session is to support nurses across all fields and grades to deliver high-quality, compassionate end-of-life care. It will include a focused teaching component covering the fundamentals of symptom management, effective communication with patients and those important to them, and the application of learning through practical case studies. The session will demonstrate how the digital resource can support continuing professional development and enhance confidence in caring for people in the last year of life.
The session is aimed at all Congress delegates across all grades in all health care settings.
