Writing an abstract is an essential skill for sharing innovation, influencing practice and contributing to the nursing evidence base. This workshop provides clear, practical guidance on developing effective abstracts for conferences, journals and professional forums, including RCN events. The session covers the key components of a strong abstract, reviewer expectations and common pitfalls. Participants will review anonymised examples, use a structured template and begin drafting or refining their own abstract.

Suitable for all experience levels, the workshop offers a supportive environment. By the end, participants will be able to structure an abstract, articulate impact and present their work succinctly.
