This session will introduce delegates to the 2025 RCN Nursing Workforce Standards, designed to ensure a safe and effective nursing workforce for excellent patient care. Key topics include recent changes such as; an uplift in staffing to allow for planned and unplanned leave; strengthened areas such as equity and diversity; and a renewed focus on continuous professional development and staff wellbeing.  

Open to all delegates —this session will provide valuable tools, including checklists and resources to implement the Standards, and offers the chance to engage with RCN Standards Champions. It will also focus on leadership, teamwork, and strategies for staff retention and recruitment.
