A follow up from 2025's popular session "How confident are RCN members in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism in mental health services?". This session will demonstrate the subsequent actions taken to improve confidence and feedback from an ongoing RCN/NHSE project.

The session will provide direct feedback from three sites’ Service Improvement Plans – one NHS and one Independent Provider – who have been selected to develop in-house projects to improve the confidence of mental health nurses when caring for individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism.
