If you are an RCN member and you work within the County Durham or Darlington area, you are automatically a member of the County Durham and Darlington branch.
The branch is your voice in the RCN. As well as sending delegates to the RCN's annual Congress, we have representation on the RCN's regional board.
We hold regular meetings where we discuss issues of concern to local members. As a member you are invited to attend these.
Your branch president is Cate Woolley-Brown and your chair is Michael Appleby. Katrina Denton is branch secretary and Clare Reynolds is treasurer. Other branch executive members voted in at this year's annual general meeting are Kevin Morley and Janet Mortimer.

Positions on the branch executive committee to be elected at the AGM
At our annual general meeting on 18 October, we will be electing our executive committee.
If you are interested in adding another string to your bow then why not look into becoming an executive member? You can read branch committee role descriptors and terms of reference here.
The roles of president, chair, secretary, treasurer, and two further branch executive members are available. If you would like to put yourself forward, please express an interest to the regional office by 4 October, in order to allow time for us to check your eligibility to stand. Email email@example.com.
Terms of office run from the date of the AGM until 31 December 2018, and thereafter will run annually from 1 January to 31 December.
At the AGM itself, the successful candidate names will be read out if there is only one candidate for each role or an announcement made regarding arrangements for a vote.
If a vote is required, each candidate will be invited to make a short statement of why they think they are the right person to fulfil the role.
