Thursday 6th October - RCN AGM + Meeting

Time: 6.30pm - 9.00pm

Venue: Harvey Lecture Hall, Kent Education Centre, Kent and Canterbury Hospital, CT1 3NG.

All members are encouraged to start thinking about nominations and proposals of the new committee and if any members are keen to get more involved would like to consider being nominated or nominating another member. There are currently five members who wish to be reappointed. We can have six members on the committee and this would be a good time to get more involved and learn a new role.

At the AGM there will be elections for these six roles and the stewards and safety, learning representatives will be reaccredited by the Senior RCN Officer.

The Annual Branch Plan 2017 will also be considered as there are some keen speakers we'd like to invite which include the Inreach Discharge Team Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist role in discharge assessments from the acute hospital to improve transition from hospital to home. The other speakers are still to be confirmed and if you have any suggestions, we'd love to hear from you.

We will also be feeding back from Congress and any first time attendees are invited to share their experience.

At the AGM we will welcome nominations for the positions of Branch Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. If you wish to be considered for one of these roles, please email prior to the AGM or you can nominate yourself on the day.

If you would like to attend any of the above or would like more information please email
