We’re excited to announce improvements to our free postal loan service, designed to make borrowing books from the RCN library even simpler.

You can now request books directly from Library Search, without needing to navigate to the separate form.

How to request books by post

  1. Log in to Library Search using your RCN membership number and password.
  2. Search for the book or topic you're interested in.
  3. Filter results by selecting “Print books” on the left-hand side.
  4. Click on the book title to view more details.
  5. Select the “Place request for postal loan” button.
  6. Check the book details and your postal address.
  7. Submit your request, and we’ll send your book out to you.

Watch Ana’s video demonstration below to see the new process in action:

This service remains completely free as part of your RCN membership, and return postage is still covered by us. The way you return books to the RCN Library and Museum remains unchanged.

We hope you enjoy this easier way to borrow books. If you have any feedback about this or any of our services, please let us know via our Feedback and book suggestions form.
