Theresa was appointed Director of the Royal College of Nursing Scotland in 2007. At a time of extensive change not only within the health service, but also in the political arena, her wide experience and influencing skills bring a strategic focus and direction to the RCN in Scotland on behalf of the Scottish membership.
Associate Director (Employment Relations)
Norman has responsibility for ensuring the RCN in Scotland has the capacity and capability to provide comprehensive employment relations services including standard representation, regulatory representation and legal advice.
Associate Director (Professional Practice)
Eileen is responsible for leading the professional ‘College’ arm of the RCN which includes the learning & development, knowledge and research and policy teams within RCN Scotland.
Carol heads up the communications team, which comprises Parliamentary and Media Relations and member communications and positions the RCN as the voice of nursing for Scotland.
Rachel heads up the policy team which – as a part of professional practice – influences Scottish health and social care policy on behalf of nurses and patients.
Knowledge & Research Manager
Sian manages the knowledge and research team which – as a part of professional practice – is responsible for RCN Scotland’s provision of information and analysis, and providing RCN library and information services.
Learning & Development Lead
Alison leads the learning and development team which – as a part of professional practice – supports our members to improve their patient care and trains our reps.
Susan is in charge of RCN Scotland’s facilities and finances.
