This report outlines the national themes and actions required from the Welsh government to support the implementation of the Nurse Staffing Levels (Wales) Act 2016. It then looks in detail at the picture in each of the seven health boards in Wales. This report is also available in English under publication code 011 090. It is the third in a series of reports, and focuses primarily on 2022-2023. The 2022 report is available here. Understanding Aseptic Technique
A summary of RCN evidence generation in 2022 using qualitative interviews with nurses. The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has undertaken a programme of work in response to members’ concerns about the conduct of aseptic technique. This report adds to the profession’s education journey to enhance nursing practice founded on enquiry and the generation of evidence to inform practice. This report will be of interest to nursing staff or midwives involved in aseptic technique guideline development or education of this core practical skill.
