Wales votes in 2026

Our members are the backbone of patient care in Wales, caring for people at every life stage.

In May 2026, Wales will elect a new Welsh Government. The next government will shape health, social care, education, and more. And when it comes to improving the health of people in Wales, our members have the blueprint.

Our members know best how the next Welsh Government should tackle the crisis of corridor care. They know how to protect patient safety. They know how to ensure more people can be treated at home, or come home from hospital as soon as it's safe.

Each of the constituencies politicians will contest in Wales is home to around 2,000 RCN Wales members.

In the 2026 Senedd elections, politicians will need to earn their trust.
