West Kent and Medway

Welcome to West Kent and Medway branch - your RCN branch if you work or live in West Kent and Medway. Whether you are working, a student or retired we would love to hear from you and warmly invite you to join us at our events in 2016.

West Kent and Medway Branch Learning Event and AGM: Wednesday 5 October, 9.00am - 4.00pm, Oakwood Conference Centre, Maidstone.

In the RCN's 100th year, we are organising a full day's learning event, which is free to all RCN members in West Kent and Medway Branch, if you sign up by Thursday 29 September.

This event will include sessions on:
•Healthy Workplace, Healthy You
•Perinatal mental health
•Dementia toolkit
•Revalidation update/open forum
•AGM

Lunch is provided for all attendees who have booked a place in advance so book your place! Email kent.administration@rcn.org.uk or call 0345 772 6100 by Thursday 29 September.

Ahead of the AGM which will be held during the day, we welcome nominations for committee positions - chairperson, secretary, treasurer, communications lead, lead for independent sector and learning and development lead. For further information you can contact us: Westkentandmedwayrcn@gmail.com.

Hosts wanted for revalidation workshops - the branch would like to hold a series of workshops (two hours duration) on revalidation, especially focusing on members working in the independent sector (other members welcome) in September and November. Do you work in a care home, hospice, independent clinic or hospital? Would your workplace be willing to host a revalidation workshop to support its employees? Please email kent.administration@rcn.org.uk who will pass on your email to the branch.
