Frequently asked questions

Erskine pay offer consultation

RCN Scotland is asking members working at Erskine whether or not they accept or reject the employer's current pay offer.

Here are some frequently asked questions with answers to help you understand what voting in the consultation means and why taking part is vital.

You are being asked to tell us whether you accept or reject the pay offer from Erskine. We need to know what members think about the offer to inform the next steps on your pay. You must accept or reject the complete offer - you cannot accept or reject parts of the full offer. Please read the offer in full before casting your vote.

The Erskine pay offer takes account of certain factors such as the requirements to meet the Real Living wage and the need to maintain appropriate differentials within the pay scales. This means that for some pay bands the exact percentage increase is slightly different. You can see how this affects you in the tables contained in the full offer from Erskine.

If the majority of members vote to accept the offer, we would notify Erskine of members' decision. We would seek implementation of the offer as soon as possible and it would be back dated to 1 April 2025.

If the majority of RCN members reject the offer, RCN Scotland will inform Erskine of the outcome and your elected members on RCN Scotland Board, RCN Trade Union Committee and RCN Council will consider the next steps. If rejected there is no guarantee that the current offer will be available in the future. In no improved offer is received from Erskine all options would be considered including asking members to vote on and participate in industrial action.

If you vote more than once during the consultation, only your final vote will be counted. Your vote is secured with your member details, and can only be cast when logged in. Every eligible member will have one vote in the final count.
