Today (19 September), Nicola Ranger, RCN General Secretary & Chief Executive, visited Rashielee Care Home in Erskine, to meet with our 2025 Scotland Nurse of the Year, Kirsty Cartin, who manages the care home and her award-winning Deputy, Jennifer Carruthers, our 2025 winner of the Care Home Nursing Award.
RCN Scotland hosted a member information event about the Assisted Dying for Terminally Ill Adults (Scotland) Bill which is being considered in the Scottish Parliament.
RCN Scotland’s new community of practice, launching in August 2025, will provide a supportive professional network for care home nurses working with older adults.
