When Gary returned home to Derry in Northern Ireland after years away, his life was in ruins after drugs and alcohol had taken a toll.
But it was to prove a turning point. In an extraordinary reversal, Gary recently became RCN Northern Ireland Nurse of the Year 2022 for his outstanding work supporting the recovery of those whose lives have been blighted by addiction.
