Joint union submission of evidence to the NHS Pay Review Body (NHSPRB
The NHSPRB was asked not to make a pay recommendation for the multi-year pay deals for 2018/19 to 2020/21 but was asked to monitor the implementation and impact of the agreements put in place in the NHS. The submission made on behalf of the NHS trade unions underlines the need for effective monitoring and evaluation and preparation for an above inflation pay rise after the end of the pay deals.

This document has been collated in response to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) call for consultation on Shaping the Future: The development of their next Five Year Strategic Plan. The RCN membership have been engaged via forums and social media platforms across the UK to provide consultation. The NMC consultation process will be undertaken over a 12-month period and this document includes the responses gained at the first stage of the process.
