NICE Advanced Breast Cancer (standing committee update): Addendum Consultation

NICE is consulting on the Addendum to the Advanced Breast Cancer Clinical Guidelines 

• will update NICE guideline CG81 (published February 2009)
• covers care and support for people with advanced (stage 4) breast cancer.
• aims to help them and their healthcare professionals make shared decisions about tests and treatments to improve outcomes and quality of life.

Please note that NICE have also added a new recommendation on assessing oestrogen receptor (ER) and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) status on disease recurrence.
