RCN North Staffordshire Local Learning Event: Defusing, stress management and fostering self care

As we adapt to ‘the new normal’, we’re trying to find ways to get back to delivering Local Learning Events to our members. As a result, the RCN North Staffordshire branch is hosting its first ‘virtual’ LLE, and we’d be delighted if you’d join us.
Facilitated by Jan Summerfield, Head of the Staff Support and Counselling Service at North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust, the session will look at:
- what is defusing compared to debriefing
- recognising the signs and symptoms of stress, and how to manage these
- emphasising the importance of self care
As well as her role at North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust, Jan is also a Stress Consultant, Critical Incident Stress De-briefer, Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Trainer, and a Therapist, and she is passionate about the welfare of staff.
