Join our live events and be part of and support RCN’s community of internationally educated nursing professionals (IENs). The RCN recognises the enormous contribution IENs make to health and social care, and we understand the specific challenges IENs face when first arriving and working in the UK. Our series of live events will assist IENs with these challenges and provide the opportunity to ask questions.
This live event will introduce the UK’s immigration system, and cover topics including settlement in the UK, the health and care visa, and family/spousal visas. The event will cover the work the RCN is doing to support members with their immigration issues, and how the RCN is lobbying for policy change with Government. The event is open to all internationally educated nurses including nurses who are still located overseas and are considering migrating to the UK. Topics covered in the session will include:
- Settlement
- Right to work
- The Health and Care Visa
- Bringing family and partner to the UK
- Leaving employers and your visa/sponsorship
- No recourse to public funds.
Alongside our team of presenters, you'll be joined by RCN President Sheilabye Sobrany, who will introduce the session.
