This programme will enhance the skills of General Practice Nurses (GPNs) working with patients in primary care who require advice and treatment regarding their sexual health and contraceptive choices.
By the end of this one-day programme participants will have:-
• An understanding of current guidelines related to management of patients’ sexual health
• Knowledge of health promotion strategies for patients in primary care regarding their sexual health and contraceptive use
• Insight into the use of patient centred approaches to promote sexual health and well being
• Knowledge regarding current guidelines for use of different types of contraception
