The EHRC provide guidance on how to provide public services in line with the Equality Act 2010 and other equality and human rights legislation. They are currently consulting on their guidance regarding access to spaces and services such single-sex toilets and changing rooms and single-sex healthcare services. The RCN is responding to the EHRC’s consultation to feed back the views and concerns our members have shared with us. Overall, we are asking the EHRC to provide more detailed examples of how the guidance will affect our members working in a range of clinical spaces, to ensure members have all the right information and feel confident providing care.
