Learning Disability Nursing Forum

Championing rights, choices, dignity and respect

We exist to champion the health and social care needs of adults and children with a learning disability or autism. We believe that learning disability nurses are best able to do this given their unique specialist training, skill sets and expertise. However, the forum is for members from all nursing backgrounds and includes our non-registered workforce.

General Practice Nurses and Learning Disabilities

These clinical pages have been developed in collaboration with the LD forum and aim to raise awareness about the inequalities experienced by those with learning disabilities and how to improve health outcomes for patients within primary care. They contain a wide range of links to relevant information, including resources to equip practice nurses to provide a good quality annual health check underpinned by national standards.
