The All Wales Guidance for Nurses and Care Home Providers in Respect of Medicines Administration and Support Workers is currently under development by the All Wales Medicine Strategy Group.

This guidance has been developed to support the delegation of medication administration by a registered nurse to a support worker, not under the direct supervision of a registrant, within adult care homes providing nursing care in Wales. This guidance also sets out the recommended education and training standards that are required to facilitate this.
