In this RCN policy report we explore the profile, capacity and challenges affecting the nurse educator workforce in academic settings in England, including the impact of financial pressures on universities.

Based on this, we make recommendations for how these issues should be addressed, and for the nurse educator workforce to be prioritised in wider nursing workforce planning.
