Hywel Dda University Health Board have launched a public consultation on “Hywel Dda - Our Big NHS Change”. The aim with the proposals is to overcome the significant challenges faced by the NHS in the area, and there are three different proposals being consulted on.
In all three of the proposals, Bronglais District General Hospital will continue to provide services for mid Wales; a new major hospital will be built somewhere between Narberth and St Clears, and there will be 10 community hubs across the Health Board area. However, all three options also see Withybush being downgraded to a community hospital.
More information about the proposals can be found here - www.hywelddahb.wales.nhs.uk/Hddchange. An outline of the different proposals is provided below.
