What is the RCN fertility nursing forum?
The RCN Fertility Nursing Forum exists to support and represent fertility nurses across the UK.
Its aim is to promote excellence in practice, influence policy, strengthen professional standards and ensure fertility nursing has a clear, respected voice within the RCN and the wider fertility landscape.
As a committee, we work to raise the profile of our specialty, produce high-quality education and professional development, and provide opportunities for networking and shared learning.
Through study days, conferences and online engagement, we bring nurses together to connect, learn and lead.
Why I joined the RCN Fertility Nursing Forum committee
I joined the RCN Fertility Nursing Forum committee in January 2026. I have 16 years of experience in fertility nursing across the NHS and private sector, from hands-on clinic roles to digital platforms, and now in my current position at Fertifa. Over the years, I've witnessed firsthand the vital role fertility nurses play in reproductive health.
Our profession has evolved tremendously, not just in clinical practice, but also in how we deliver care through digital platforms. I believe that nurses have a powerful voice in shaping the next generation of care, and it’s equally important to support our current colleagues with access to both education and emotional wellbeing.
I'm excited to contribute to a committee dedicated to ensuring our voice is heard and our profession continues to thrive. Working alongside passionate colleagues, I look forward to making a meaningful impact for fertility nurses now and in the future.
