Book now for our Care Home Open Week event in celebration of nurses and HCAs working in the region's care homes.
As part of Care Home Open Week 2026, the RCN North West Multicultural Group is hosting a special hybrid event celebrating the dedication, expertise and compassion within the care home sector. Chair Olanike Babalola will give an overview of the group's aim which is to stand against racism and discrimination by using members' lived experiences to encourage organisations, with the support of allies, to be anti-racist.
Whether you attend in person or online, this is a valuable opportunity to hear about the work of the MCG as well as learn, connect and shine a light on the exceptional contribution of care home nurses and care teams across Independent Health and Social Care.
The event will feature guest speakers who bring real insight and lived experience from across social care, including:
- Michelle Howarth, Co-Chair of the North West Social Care Nursing Advisory Council
- Sally Wilson, Professional Lead - Care of Older People and Dementia
- Jess Taylor, Care Home Manager, Exemplar Healthcare
Light refreshments will be provided for those attending in person. Please note that in person spaces are limited and early booking is encouraged. Registration will take place from 5.30pm to 5.55pm to ensure a prompt 6pm start.
