Join us for a learning event on the importance of defensible documentation, open to all North West members on Monday 23 March.
This education session will be delivered by Angela Graham and Nicole O'Reilly, Senior Legal Officers from the RCN Legal Services, and will provide:
- an overview of NMC Fitness to Practise process
- documentation training, using case examples in both NMC and Coroners hearings and focusing on documentation required to support a nurse’s evidence or open them up to criticism
- an overview of coroners inquests, including attending hearings as a witness, with examples from inquests and NMC hearings
From 10am - 1pm, RCN Officers and Reps will host an open session for members seeking advice and support, then our education session will begin at 1pm.
This is a hybrid event, taking place in person at the Cardiac Lecture Theatre at Blackpool Victoria Hospital and online on Microsoft Teams. If joining online, we ask that you join the meeting five minutes early to allow for greetings before we move on to our session.
