RCN Scotland Board is inviting members to join an online learning session led by Ranjit Kirton from The Behaviour Garage on Cultivating Inclusive Workplaces.
Diversity creates opportunity, but inclusion is what enables people to truly thrive. When individuals are treated with fairness, respect, and dignity, a strong sense of belonging follows. Over time, equality, diversity, and inclusion efforts have helped diversity become a normal and valued part of 21st-century Britain.
The next step is to ensure inclusion keeps pace. By increasing our awareness of how human behaviour, tribal thinking, and unconscious bias influence everyday decisions, we can intentionally disrupt these patterns. Insights from neuroscience show that with the right focus and practice, we can reshape mindsets, strengthen inclusion, and reduce inequalities in workplaces and wider society.
What the session will cover:
- Understand - Tribal behaviours and mindsets
- Terminology - 21st century clarity to eliminate linguistic assaults
- Bias - Disrupt and reprogramme set cognitive prototypes
Learning outcomes:

- Build - Cognitive and behaviour techniques to tackle racism and inequality
- Evaluate - Revise your behaviours, language, and bias
