Choose event information:
Join the second session of our community of practice for registered nurses working in care homes for older adults.
This community is a place for you to learn, share ideas and build your professional support network. We aim to hold four meetings a year, where you will hear from experts and discuss what matters to you as a care home nurse.
At this session, you will have a chance to reflect with fellow care home nurses and engage with a practical case study activity. You will also hear from experts on dementia and oral health for dependent adults.
Guest speakers:
- David Wilson-Wynne, Senior Dementia Consultant at the Dementia Service Development Centre, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Stirling.
- Morag Muir, national lead for the oral health improvement programme Open Wide (for adults with additional care needs) and Leigh Deas, Programme Manager for the oral health improvement programme Caring for Smiles (for older dependent people).
When you sign up for this session, you willl be added to the Community of Practice Microsoft Teams channel, where you can network with other care home nurses, share insight and access resources.
This community is open exclusively to RCN members working in care homes for older people across Scotland and who are members of the RCN Care Home network – join the network.
If you’re not an RCN member yet, you can join online via the membership pages.
