RCN Eastern members are invited to our Black History Month event which this year focuses on all the people and everyday local networks that shape and sustain British life.
RCN Eastern, in collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Midwifery Officer’s Black and Minority Ethnic Strategic Advisory Group (CNO/CMidO BME SAG), Eastern Region, invites RCN members to join us in celebrating Black History Month 2026.
This year’s theme is honouring our communities. The event will provide an opportunity to come together, celebrate the contributions of Black communities, share experiences, recognise achievements and reflect on the importance of community, belonging and inclusion.
We will welcome RCN members and the wider nursing and midwifery community to join us for this special event as we honour the individuals and communities whose contributions continue to make a difference across health, care and wider society.
This event is being held both in person at Kneesworth House Hospital and online. For those attending in person, a special Afro-Caribbean buffet lunch will be provided. Please let us know any dietary requirements when booking your place. Registration and refreshments will open at 9.30am and the event will start promptly at 10am.
If you are attending online on Microsoft Teams, a link to join the meeting will be sent to you once you register your details to attend. Please be aware, when you join this event your name, email address and organisation may be visible to other attendees. The meeting may be attended by both RCN members and non-members.
