RCN Norfolk: Beyond the ward - different roles in nursing
17 Apr 2026, 10:00 - 12:00
Choose event information:
RCN Norfolk members are invited to attend this online learning event looking at the different roles you can pursue in the nursing profession.
Many people think of an NHS acute ward as being the starting point of a carrer in nursing or taking up a general nursing role. This session is your opportunity to hear from nurses in roles outside of the acute ward setting and outside of the NHS.
Please join us to find out about:
- Research - Louise Coke, a lead research nurse
- Occupational health - Julie Lawrence, occupational health nurse and advisor
- General Practice - Laura Bird, GP nurse
- Royal College of Nursing - Melanie McAteer, RCN Eastern Senior Officer
This session is your chance to find out more about these different roles and ask any questions you have. You can also access the RCN's careers resources by visiting the website.
This meeting will be held on Mircrosoft Teams. A link to join the event will be sent to you once you register your details to attend.
Booking will open shortly. We look forward to seeing you at a meeting soon.
