RCN Suffolk: AGM and Learning Event
22 Oct 2026, 13:00 - 16:00
Choose event information:
RCN Suffolk members are invited to attend your online branch learning event and AGM.
Come along to your branch Annual General Meeting (AGM), which is your chance to make a difference by shaping local branch activities for the year ahead and electing your branch officials.
During the AGM, members will elect Branch Officials, including:
- Chair
- Secretary
- Treasurer
Following the AGM, there will be a learning session: IMclusive: Inclusion begins with 'I AM'.
Through a discussion of bias, belonging, allyship and courageous conversations, the session will examine the everyday behaviours and actions that can help foster a more inclusive environment for patients, staff and students.
By the end of the session, attendees will:
- Understand why inclusion is everyone's responsibility, not just a policy or a leadership task.
- Recognise how bias, privilege and power can shape everyday interactions and decisions.
- Gain simple tools for respectful, courageous and constructive conversations.
- Commit to one visible action through an IMclusive personal pledge
Could you help lead the branch?
Why not consider standing for one of the branch committee positions? Please read the RCN governance branch role descriptions to check your eligibility and capacity. Being a Branch Official is a rewarding personal and professional development opportunity, allowing you to represent members and help shape the direction of the branch. You can nominate yourself for a position on the committee by completing the nomination form before the AGM.
If you can attend one branch meeting a year, please make it the AGM. Branch meetings provide an opportunity to have your say on how the branch is run and help shape local priorities.
The event will be held both online and in person at:
The Edith Cavell Room
Education Centre
Ipswich Hospital
IP4 5PD
A Microsoft Teams link will be provided once you have registered to attend. If you have any accessibility requirements, please let us know when booking your place.
