Choose event information:
Join us in person or virtually to celebrate, learn, network and hear from leading voices in the LGBTQIA+ and nursing communities.
This year's theme is 'Vital Voices'. We'll celebrate the diversity within the LGBTQIA+ nursing community and explore how these voices contribute to delivering inclusive healthcare for all.
Join us to hear from inspiring nursing leaders, changemakers championing progress, and LGBTQIA+ patient voices. Together, they’ll offer both inspiration and practical insight you can take back into your nursing practice whether you’re a nurse or a midwife, nursing support worker or student.
Highlights of the programme include:
- Keynote speaker: Lady Phyll, CEO and founder of UK Black Pride on the vital voices which have shaped her life, work and activism.
- LGBTQIA+ patient voices - a panel drawn from different areas of the community will share their experiences and ask: 'What does good nursing care look like to us?'
- 'Breaking down barriers' - this educational workshop and discussion will focus on how nursing staff can play a positive and powerful role in making healthcare accessible and inclusive.
- Closing address - Duncan Barton, Chief Nursing Officer for NHS England, shares his experiences as an LGBTQIA+ nursing leader.
4 CPD hours are available for those who attend the event.
Open to all RCN members in London and the South East.
Attend either in-person at RCN HQ or virtually via Zoom.
