Join us to explore what generative AI is, how it can be used in academic and professional contexts, and the key limitations and risks to be aware of. Through practical examples and activities, you’ll build confidence in evaluating and using generative AI safely, ethically, and appropriately.
By the end of the session, you will be able to:
- Describe what generative AI is, including common tools and uses
- Recognise key limitations and risks
- Use effective prompting techniques to get better results
- Apply critical judgement when interpreting AI-generated content
- Use and reference generative AI ethically and responsibly
Please note this session does not include training on specific generative AI tools. It is ideal for anyone looking to better understand generative AI in an academic or professional context. No prior knowledge is required.
