Choose event information:
As voting opens in the 2026 RCN Council elections, this event is your opportunity, as an RCN nurse member, to hear from and ask questions of the three candidates standing for election to the Scotland seat on RCN Council.
The event will be chaired by Ann McMahon, RCN Fellow.
You can join us virtually from 6pm on 4 August. You will need a computer or smartphone and access to the internet to join the event.
Check back here for the joining link for the event.
As set out in our governance procedures, to be eligible to attend the hustings, and then vote, for the Scotland seat on RCN Council, a member must be based in Scotland and in the Nurse category of RCN membership.
You will be able to submit questions for the candidates during the event or in advance. Questions will be asked of the candidates on the evening as time allows - not all questions may be asked. Email scottish.board@rcn.org.uk with your question by midday on Tuesday 28 July and make sure you include your name and membership number in your message. Your personal information will not be shared at the event.
Your candidates are:
Vicky Keir
Sam Moffat
Leanne Patrick.
Visit our elections page to find out more about your candidates, including their candidate profile, the election process and who is eligible to vote.
You will be able to watch a recording of the event soon after on the RCN website.
Voting in this election will open on Monday 3 August via a postal ballot which will be sent to your address.
