Travel by Train
Check before you travel: Incident: Glasgow Central | National Rail
Advice from the train companies is that tickets from Glasgow Central are valid on other services. You can use your ticket on an earlier or later train than planned (please check with the train company for specifics). If you are travelling via Motherwell, we have arranged coaches to take you there. RCN staff will guide you to the coaches.
Accessibility at stations
Queen Street has step free access.
Argyle street has no step free access.
The Glasgow underground is accessible via lifts and escalators. Maps & Stations | SPT | Strathclyde Partnership for Transport
Buchanan Street is immediately accessible from Queen Street Station. Ride one stop on the outer line to St Enoch. The venue is a 7-minute walk from away from there.
Air Travel
Flights to and from Glasgow airport are unaffected. First Bus run a shuttle service from Stand 1 every 10 mins. Take the number 500 eastbound service from Glasgow Waterloo Street, West Campbell Street. The bus stop is a 5 min walk from the venue. Glasgow Airport Express | First Bus
Conference Agenda
To allow additional time for travel, the conference agenda has been updated. We begin slightly later on day one and earlier on day two.
If the disruption to your journey makes travel unreasonable, you will still be able to attend and participate via the livestream. Reps can access the link via the Rep Hub each day and engage through Slido (live messaging link). Details of how to do this are also available via this link.

Driving and parking
There is no onsite car park at Radisson Blu
Discounted parking: NCP car park on Oswald Street which is just a couple of minutes’ walk from the hotel. We can offer a reduced rate of £15 per 24 hours payable at hotel reception.

Glasgow train station
The Glasgow Central train station is opposite the Radisson Blu Hotel.
From Glasgow Airport
By bus:
Take the Airport Express to the Hope Street stop on Bothwell Street. You'll be just 350 meters from the hotel.
By taxi:
Travel to the hotel by taxi takes about 20 minutes. The airport is about 14km from the hotel via M8.
By car:
From the airport, merge onto M8 before taking the A739 exit towards Clyde Tunnel. On the A739, take the A814 exit towards the city centre. Keep right on A814 before continuing onto Argyle St to reach the hotel.
From Edinburgh Airport:
There is a Citylink coach service that goes from Edinburgh Airport to Glasgow in an hour.
The coach is a 24-hour shuttle service running up to every 20 minutes. It will stop at Buchanan Bus Station (15 min walk from Radisson Blu).

IMPORTANT: Roadworks
There will be roadworks taking place around the hotel. The affected streets are Argyle Street, Wellington Street, and Robertson Street. Please be aware that these works may impact travel routes and accessibility around the hotel. We strongly advise allowing extra time for travel and reviewing any necessary changes to your transport arrangements.

Hotel update
The Radisson Blu gym and spa are currently under refurbishment; alternative gym passes will be available.
Travel
For any travel booked via the Events Team, this will have been organised using the RCN Travel Agent, Click. Should you need emergency support out of office hours, please call Click on 0121 368 1666.
Livestream
Main hall sessions will be livestreamed, filmed and recorded for reps to view remotely. To access the livestream log into your Reps Hub.
Accommodation
Accommodation for reps attending the conference has been booked on a bed and breakfast basis at The Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow. Booking details have been shared with individuals approximately 2 weeks before the conference.
Registration
On arrival at The Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow please make your way to the RCN registration desk which will be signposted.
Registration will open from 12pm on Thursday 12 March and lunch with refreshments will also be available during this time.
Badges
For security purposes, participants must wear their badges at all times. Participants will not be admitted to the conference sessions without the appropriate badge.
Lunchtime fringe sessions (Friday only)
Delegates are free to mix and match sessions and attendance will be on a ‘first come, first-served’ basis.

Conference dinner
The conference dinner will be held in the Megalithic Suite (main hall) of The Radisson Blu Hotel on Thursday evening, starting with a networking welcome. A welcome drink is to be served at 7pm, with guests invited to sit down at 7.30pm.
Exhibition
An exhibition will run alongside this event with an array of stands to visit during lunch and refreshment breaks. Here you will find out more about an exciting range of new resources for reps being launched at the conference.
