Join RCN Wales for our biennial Betsi Cadwaladr lecture, including a brief history of the life of Welsh nurse Betsi Cadwaladr, and an insightful discussion as we unpack what the outcome of the 2026 Senedd election tells us about Wales today—and what it could mean for the years ahead.
Join us for an insightful evening, opened by Professor Donna Mead OBE, CStJ, FRCN, giving a brief history of the life of Welsh nurse, Betsi Cadwaladr, and hear from special guest speaker, Dr Daniel Evans, researcher, author and Lecturer in Criminology Sociology and Social Policy at Swansea University.
Dan will be unpacking what the outcome of the 2026 Senedd election tells us about Wales today—and what it could mean for the years ahead.
Join us as we consider how Wales will be governed post-election—political priorities, delivery challenges, and the difficult trade-offs facing the next administration amid competing short-term pressures and long-term needs.
We’ll reflect on what this all means for public services and civic Wales—how political direction influences the environment for health, social care, and other essential services, and what organisations need to understand about the context they’ll be operating in over the next Senedd term.
A timely and thought-provoking event for anyone interested in the future of Wales.
