Join RCN Wales in-person in Cardiff, or online, for our next roundtable event for nursing staff working in the independent health and social care sector, the topic this time will explore the potential for delivering intravenous fluids in nursing care homes in Wales.
The next roundtable event for nursing colleagues working in the independent health and social care sector in Wales will explore the potential for delivering intravenous fluids in nursing care homes in Wales. Come along and discuss the considerations for implementation.
This tabletop exercise provides an opportunity to explore the potential for delivering intravenous fluids in care homes and to identify the clinical, operational and governance requirements that would need to be in place to support such a model safely.
Although a number of care homes have expressed an interest in this area, there is currently no commitment to widespread implementation. The aim is simply to explore the concept, share perspectives and consider the opportunities and challenges together.
Our roundtable events offer an opportunity to network with colleagues from across the independentsector, share experiences, and discuss your work within the Welsh context. We hope this event will develop relationships across the sector which will build confidence and amplify the voice of nurses.
The roundtable will be facilitated by Pam Penman and Majella Kavanagh, Independent Sector and Community Advisers, RCN Wales.
This event is open to members and non-members who are nursing staff working across the Independent Health and Social Care Sector in Wales.
