Today, we immediately turn to computers and the internet to answer common health questions. But how did this come about?
This talk explores the origins of the internet, alongside the use of computers in nursing. John Naughton gives a brief history of the origins of the internet, while Siobhan O’Connor explores the contributions of nurses to informatics, focusing on the contributions of an ICU nurse based in Edinburgh, Derek Hoy.
