RCN Cambridgeshire: AGM and The Future of Nursing Practice in the Age of AI
30 Oct 2026, 11:30 - 13:30
Choose event information:
RCN Cambridgeshire members are invited to attend your online branch learning event and AGM.
Come along to your branch Annual General Meeting (AGM), which is your chance to make a difference by shaping local branch activities for the year ahead and electing your branch officials.
During the AGM, members will elect Branch Officials, including:
- Chair
- Secretary
- Treasurer
Following the AGM, there will be a learning session on the future of nursing practice in the age of artificial intelligence (AI), featuring a talk by Robilyn Tweetie Diya, health informatics consultant. The session will explore how AI is transforming health care and nursing practice, including the opportunities, challenges, ethical considerations and digital skills needed to work effectively in an increasingly technology-enabled health care environment. Attendees will hear practical examples of AI in action, gain insight into how technology can support patient care and connect with nursing colleagues.
Could you help lead the branch?
Why not consider standing for one of the branch committee positions? Please read the RCN governance branch role descriptions to check your eligibility and capacity. Being a Branch Official is a rewarding personal and professional development opportunity, allowing you to represent members and help shape the direction of the branch. You can nominate yourself for a position on the committee by completing the nomination form before the AGM.
If you can attend one branch meeting a year, please make it the AGM. Branch meetings provide an opportunity to have your say on how the branch is run and help shape local priorities.
The session will be held online using Microsoft Teams. A link to join the meeting will be sent to you once you register your details to attend. When joining the meeting, please make sure you are clearly identified with your name on screen so we can admit you quickly to the event. If you have any accessibility requirements, please let us know when booking your place. If joining from a mobile device, you may find it useful to download the MS Teams app in advance of joining the session.
