Members are invited to join this online learning event looking at the reality of modern nursing roles, hosted by RCN Essex.
At this event, our expert speakers will showcase real‑world nursing practice, focused on the day‑to‑day reality and complexity of nursing roles.
- Understand the day‑to‑day realities of different nursing roles and settings.
- Find out how nursing practice changes week to week, not just shift to shift.
- Hear directly from experienced nurses about career pathways and progression.
- Stay informed about current developments, innovations and role expansion in nursing.

Our speakers will include Sean King (PCI Nurse Specialist, CTC Cardiology), Zoe Cooper (Diabetes Specialist Nurse) and Matthew Osborne (Nurse Lecturer).
The session is designed for members at all career stages, including student, nursing support workers and registered nurses. Come along to hear how nursing roles develop, expand and advance over time. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask your questions as well as find out more about the work of your branch.
