Do you provide nursing care and support to men? If so, this event is for you.
Men have a lower life expectancy than women and spend more than a fifth of their lives in poor health. Mental ill health is on the rise, preventable killers are often caught too late, and suicide remains the leading cause of death of men under 50.
Men can be less likely to seek help and are more likely to suffer in silence. It doesn’t have to be this way and nursing staff are essential to bring about much-needed change.
Ahead of Men's Health Week 2026, this RCN event will explore how distress and suicide risk often show up in men, how we can support men to be healthier and how we can help men navigate their prostate cancer journey if they're diagnosed.
Our expert speakers include:
- Jonathan Prince MBE - Blue Ribbon Foundation
- Maria Nastri, Head of The OLLIE Foundation, and Jo Cakmak, Education and Communications Lead, The OLLIE Foundation
- Prostate Cancer UK
