RCN South Lincolnshire study day: COVID-19 - past, present and future

The RCN South Lincolnshire branch is holding a study day exploring the impact of COVID-19 and the lessons that can be learnt. The event is also open to RCN North Lincolnshire branch members.
The keynote speaker will be Professor Sir Jonathan Van-Tam, who was Deputy Chief Medical Officer from 2017 to 2022. He became well-known for his leadership in the UK’s responses to the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly his no-nonsense communication style from the podium at No. 10 Downing Street and the acquisition and rollout of vaccines and antiviral drugs in the UK.
As well as presentations on COVID-19, the day will also include sessions on NMC revalidation and information governance.
Speakers and topics for the day are as follows:
- Revalidation and the new NMC Code - Wendy Fowler, Nursing Education Adviser, Professional Practice Directorate, NMC
- Information Governance - speaker to be confirmed
- Co-production changes everything: rethinking Long COVID support - Kirsteen Redmile, Lead for Personalisation on Lincolnshire's 'It’s All About People' Personalisation Programme
- Keynote COVID-19 presentation - Professor Sir Jonathan Van-Tam, former Deputy Chief Medical Officer throughout the COVID-19 pandemic
- The work of the Royal College of Nursing on Long COVID - Mike Hines, RCN Health, Safety & Wellbeing Senior National Officer, Employment Relations Department
Registration and refreshments will take place between 9am and 9.50am, so please ensure you arrive in time.
